Every artist has a beginning and Stephanie’s first “claim to fame” started in the summer of 2003 at the young age of 17 when she was chosen out of more than 4000 entries for the “Gimme the Mic!” challenge. The contest, which was hosted by KTVK TV in Phoenix, was designed to showcase Southwest’s most talented vocalists. Out of the 4,000 singers, Stephanie landed as a finalist in the competition. A few years later came another key inspirational moment in Stephanie’s career. Stephanie was invited to perform with Country’s multi-grammy award winner Naomi Judd (of the legendary Judds) at the Arizona Women’s Expo at the Phoenix Convention Center. The Arizona Women’s Expo is one of the top five consumer events (for attendance) in the nation. And, the success of Stephanie’s performance with Naomi was only the beginning. Today, Stephanie has opened shows for top Country artists including Randy Travis, Eli Young Band, Jake Owen, Collin Raye, Chris Young, Clint Black, Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, and others. Another monumental event for Stephanie was her performance at Country Thunder USA. Country Thunder USA is one of the nation’s largest country events. This annual concert series draws nearly 100,000 visitors each year, and is headlined by acts such as Tim McGraw, Montgomery Gentry, Keith Urban, and Alan Jackson. By 2010, Country Thunder had invited Stephanie to perform four years in a row! Last year, Stephanie traveled to Nashville to 16 Ton Studios to record her debut full length album. The album, titled "The Red Letter Days" features 12 original songs and was released in May 2010. Stephanie is also a prolific song writer who composed two of the albums hit singles "Holdin' On" and "Happy Ever After" From newspapers, to blogs, to online ezines – the album, the band, and Stephanie received fantastic reviews After the release of “Red Letter Days,” the band began a full-scale regional tour and opened for many national acts, including Randy Travis, Jason Michael Carroll, Toby Keith, and others as part of their summer/fall itinerary. They performed at legendary venues like the Greeley Stampede in Colorado, the Central AZ Blue Star Moms "Concert for the Troops" in Arizona, the PBRA National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, and numerous festivals and events around the southwest. Stephanie Eason and the band have already hit the mark; they have opened for the largest country acts in the US, received rave reviews on their debut album, shared the stage with super stars, and they have headlined large venues, conferences and festivals around the states. As All Things Country Blog reports, “Stephanie Eason has already proven she's got the vocal chops and stage presence a person needs to be the lead singer of her own band.” This year, fans can expect a new album and national touring as the Stephanie Eason Band continues their successful musical journey. |
